The Origins and Philosophy

Stutzman Custom Innovations was founded in 2024, born out of frustration with a poorly executed shotgun coating job. I knew I could do a better job myself—so I did.

I'm an avid duck and upland hunter and in my down time you can usually find me at the range running drills with a pistol or rifle. I don't believe in safe queens. Firearms are tools; built to be used and used hard.

I know what it's like to sit through a sleet storm on a 10-degree morning in a duck blind. I've walked hundreds of miles of CRP chasing upland birds and fired thousands of rounds on the flat range. I understand the abuse firearms take getting tossed in and out of trucks, duck boats, side-by-sides, and range bags. That's why functionality and durability come before everything else.

Whether your firearm is built for competition, duty, hunting, or the range, it deserves a finish that can keep up. Since 2024, SCI's coatings have been standing up to the same harsh conditions and hard use that inspired this business in the first place.

From a clean, single-color finish to the wildest custom pattern you can imagine, every project receives the same level of attention and craftsmanship. If I'm not willing to stand in front of my peers and mentors and say, "This is the highest quality work I'm capable of producing", it doesn't leave my shop.

Why Cerakote?

Your firearm deserves more than ordinary paint or factory finishes. At Stutzman Custom Innovations, we apply professional grade Cerakote coatings that provide outstanding protection against rust, scratches, solvents, and everyday wear while giving your firearm a custom look that stands out. Whether you're upgrading your everyday carry, hunting rifle, competition gun, or protecting a prized collection piece, every project is finished with precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality. Choose from hundreds of color and custom patterns to create a firearm thats as dependable as it is unique. Contact us today to start your custom Cerakote project and give your firearm the protection and finish it deserves.
