The Origins and Philosophy

Stutzman Custom Innovations was founded in 2024, born out of frustration with a poorly executed shotgun coating job. I knew I could do a better job myself—so I did.

I'm an avid duck and upland hunter and in my down time you can usually find me at the range running drills with a pistol or rifle. I don't believe in safe queens. Firearms are tools; built to be used and used hard.

I know what it's like to sit through a sleet storm on a 10-degree morning in a duck blind. I've walked hundreds of miles of CRP chasing upland birds and fired thousands of rounds on the flat range. I understand the abuse firearms take getting tossed in and out of trucks, duck boats, side-by-sides, and range bags. That's why functionality and durability come before everything else.

Whether your firearm is built for competition, duty, hunting, or the range, it deserves a finish that can keep up. Since 2024, SCI's coatings have been standing up to the same harsh conditions and hard use that inspired this business in the first place.
